Vyacheslav Nikolaev obtained his PhD degree in the Arbuzov-Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry of the Kazan Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1985, and his D. Sci. degree in the Kazan State Technological University in 2004. Currently he is a Senior Researcher in the Arbuzov-Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry. Scientific interests: Van-der-Waals intermolecular interactions, models of the description of physical and chemical properties of individual nonelectrolytes and their mixtures, magnetooptical Cotton-Mouton effect and its application in the analysis of properties of industrial multicomponent hydrocarbonic systems, electrooptical Kerr effect, synergetic effects in binary and multicomponent systems, correlation analysis, development of devices (equipment) for an estimation of efficiency of the chemical reagents applied in a petroleum industry.
