Hiroshi Chuman obtained his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Sciences in Tokyo University in 1989. He worked as a Research Director in Kureha Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. (1978-1996), as a Lecturer in Ochanomizu University and Kitasato University (1997). Currently he is working as a Professor of Theoretical Chemistry for Drug Discovery in the Institute of Health Biosciences, The University of Tokushima. He obtained awards from Japan Chemical Industry Association (1995) and Japanese Pesticide Science Society (2000) for the development of novel fungicides, Ipconazole and Metconazole. Scientific Interests: Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships, Chemoinformatics, Computational and Theoretical Chemistry.
