Prof. Kimito Funatsu received D. Sci. Degree in Physical Organic Chemistry at Kyushu Univesity in 1983, and joined to Prof. Sasaki's lab at Toyohashi University of Technology to start computer chemistry. His main subjects are chemoinformatics in drug design, materials design, synthesis design. He moved to The University of Tokyo as full Professor in 2004. Now he is a Chairman of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences in The Chemical Society of Japan.
