Athina Geronikaki (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Greece)
Athina Geronikaki graduated from Tashkent State University (USSR) in 1971. In 1976 she received her Ph. D. in Chemistry of Plant Substances in the Institute of Natural Products of Uzbek Academy of Science, where she was working as a researcher. In 1982 she joint to the School of Pharmacy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a Lecturer; where she became an Associate Professor in 2002 and Head of Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry in 2006. Member of Greek Chemical Society, Indian Chemical Society, American Chemical Society and Heterocyclic Chemistry Society. Awarded with medal and diploma from Scientific Partnership Foundation. The author of more than 50 publications and about 100 presentations at International and National Scientific Conferences. Organized two International Conferences in Thessaloniki: Second International Symposium on Computational Methods in Toxicology and Pharmacology Integrating Internet Resourses (CMTPI-2003), and Fourth Eurasian Meeting in Heterocyclic Chemistry in 2006.
