Adel Golovin (European Molecular Biology Laboratory-European Bioinformatics Institute, United Kingdom)
Adel Golovin is a senior member of European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) - the UK outstation of European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). Since 2001 he works in a wwPDB (http://www.wwpdb.org) member – Macromolecular Structure Database group with the group leader - Kim Henrick. He has designed and developed the PDB search database and MSDsite (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/msd-srv/msdsite), MSDmotif (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/msd-srv/msdmotif) services where a number of new algorithms has been invented and published. His latest research was
applying Constraints Satisfaction Problem (CSP) theory to sub-graph isomorphism using SQL which resolved in a chemical search available at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/msd-srv/msdmotif/chem as well as a comprehensive PDB search engine at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/msd-srv/msdmotif/new.
