Dr. Anil Saxena graduated from Meerut University in 1969. He received a Ph.D. Degree under supervision of Dr. Nitya Anand at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) in 1973. His further work was executed in CDRI, where he got a positions of postdoc in 1974-1976, Scientist B in 1976, Scientist C in 1982, Scientist E-I in 1988, Scientist E-II in 1993. Since 1998, Anil Saxena is Scientist F - Deputy Director of CDRI. His research interests are related to the Medicinal Chemistry & Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD); he has 37 year’s research experience in medicinal chemistry. Anil Saxena is the author of 119 research papers, 17 reviews, articles and book chapters, 66 Indian and 23 International patents. Anil Saxena was a Guest Editor of several issues of Medicinal Chemistry Research and SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research journals; organized a few International Conferences including Indo German workshop on QSAR (Lucknow, India, November 16 20, 1987), IPR & Industrial Development in India (Lucknow, India, Oct. 11-12, 1996), International Symposiums on “Current Trends in Drug Discovery Research (2001, 2004, 2007), a.o. Member of several National and International Societies and Foundations. He was awardes by Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (Alexander von Humboldt foundation Bonn, W. Germany, 1977 78); INSA Young Scientist Medal (Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi,1983); Themis Chemicals UDCT Diamond Jubilee Distinguished Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Sciences (U.D.C.T., Mumbai, 1997 98); Ranbaxy Research Award in Pharmaceutical Sicences (Ranbaxy Research Foundation, Gurgaon, 2001); Honorary Medal (Scientific Partnership Foundation, Russia, 2004); Social Recognition / Award: Kayastha Ratna (Akhil Bhartiya Kayastha Maha Sabha, India, 2006). |
