Yury Vorobjev has Major Researcher position in the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk). He is a Doctor of Science. His major interests are Development of Advanced Computational Methods for Structural Biology. He actively collaborates with Harold Scheraga from Cornell University and Jan Hermans from University of North Caroline in Chapel Hill, USA. He developed the FAMBE method for macromolecular electrostatics and pH effects estimation, and the SIMS method for molecular surface calculations. Currently he is working on a method for blind docking and identification of major binding mode for flexible ligands combining effective cavity search with molecular dynamics.
